1st EK of Kavala (1st Workshop Centre of Kavala) supports the laboratories in the technical and Vocational schools in the city of Kavala, organizes seminars for teachers in various specialties and educational students visits to factories and enterprises. The aim of 1st Workshop Centre of Kavala is to supply a perfect laboratory training for students in fully organized workshops in which students of all disciplines receive proper technique and laboratory training, so upon graduation to be able to practice with success to integrate smoothly into society, to be productive and to contribute in the development of the Greek economy.
Also 1st Workshop Centre of Kavala ensures the integration of graduates in the labour market, informs students about: education and labour market training, professional rights, education and employment, education graduate options, programs of the European Union.

At 1st Workshop Centre of Kavala, five entirely equipped computer laboratories are operating. Furthermore, there is all the demanded substructure in software and specialized programs which in combination with the staff’s education and skills will provide to the project the proper know how in elaborating questionnaires and creating posters, logos, leaflets, fliers. Staff is also appropriately skilled on most advanced developments of new technologies of communication and information. So they can easily contribute to the part of the project management that affairs this sector. 1st Workshop Centre of Kavala accommodates all the laboratories plantations of a wide range of variable vocational specialties existing in the wider area of the province of Kavala. It is being serviced by vocational teaching staff of various specialties properly educated and frequently and regularly trained so that to follow every development on a rapid flash changing technology.

    A big proportion of our students are migrants or one parent families who live in remote villages of the region under the danger of exclusion and of being considered second – class students. Some of our students are economy immigrants from Albania, Georgia, Bulgaria and Russia. This fact means that our school plays an important role in the social and cultural life, by providing not only education but extracurricular activities, stimulating their creativity, facilitating the students, understanding of different cultures in a common European context.
    In our institution the priority is to provide different learning opportunities for our learners, so for this reason 1st Workshop Centre of Kavala is involved in a two-way interactive relationship with the entrepreneurship world. Therefore, it can contribute to the implementation of any innovating idea about immigrant friendly education and European citizenship. In addition, 1st Workshop Centre of Kavala will also try to integrate the project studies into its ongoing educational activities and will participate in project’s evaluation.

2nd Gymnasium of Nafpaktos is a junior high school with a long tradition of Education (the school was founded in 1976). The school educates around 180 students, from both rural and urban environments taught by 20 teachers.

Starting from 2012, a variety of activities designed to bring a new and innovative dimension to our school have been performed: cultural, environmental, career and health education. Teachers are encouraged to implement innovative projects related to our students’ interests such as sports, arts, music.

It is found on the west part of the city. The school complex is located on a plot of land of 5,317.82 m2, on Porphyri and Tsara Nafpaktias streets, with a total coverage and construction area of the three-story teaching building of 2,925 m2.

As to facilities, it has a school gym with basketball, volleyball and table tennis equipment. School’s priority, among others, is to cultivate the students’ cultural awareness.

Students are particularly interested in their skills and talents in general and this is easily seen by their enthusiastic reaction to activities already organized as extra-curricular ones. There are teachers who organize school trips to cultural centres, educational trips are also implemented throughout school year along with visits to famous artistic sites close to surrounding area.

There is a school choir participating each year to the annual festival of our district.
